SiriusX Studio

0.10.1 commercial preview · Windows x64 · Free exploration / $39 one-time Pro

Start in three steps

  1. Extract the entire ZIP into a writable folder in Documents. Do not run it inside the ZIP or Program Files.
  2. Double-click Start-SiriusX-Studio.cmd. A console opens and launches your browser; leave the console running.
  3. Open your local workspace. Choose Help & getting started → Begin with safe demo.

No Python/Node installation or account is needed. Free exploration works offline; Pro workflows require a signed license file. Checkout is not live in this preview. Use an existing modern browser. Stop with Ctrl+C in the console. The app uses only the local loopback address. Do not expose the port to a public network.

Free and Pro

Help & getting started contains edition, signed-license import and path-free support diagnostics. Never enter card data or Dodo merchant secrets into the desktop app. Existing Undo and recovery remain free.

Keep your work

Saved projects, copied source, settings and Undo live in the app's .semantic-studio folder. Original repositories stay unchanged when you choose Create editable copy. Stop the service before copying or backing up this folder.

From PowerShell in the extracted app folder, create a new backup outside the app directory:

.\runtime\python\python.exe -I -B -c "import sys;sys.path.insert(0,'.');from release_tools import backup;print(backup('.',r'..\My-Studio-Backup.zip'))"

The command refuses backups while this storage is running and never overwrites an existing backup. Backups contain private source and reports. Do not share a backup without reviewing it.

Restore or upgrade

Stop all app instances. Keep the old installation and backup. Extract the new ZIP to a different writable directory, then restore the backup with the command below from the new app folder. The destination must not exist; use this before first launch. Managed paths are rebased automatically. Managed copies work from their restored directory; read-only original-project paths still require the original folder at its saved path. Keep backup SHA-256 evidence; inspect the archive before restoration. This release uses storage version 1; do not downgrade data from a future incompatible version.

.\runtime\python\python.exe -I -B -c "import sys;sys.path.insert(0,'.');from release_tools import restore;print(restore(r'..\My-Studio-Backup.zip',r'.semantic-studio'))"

Package integrity

The launcher checks every shipped file before opening the service. If it reports a mismatch, preserve your saved state, re-extract the trusted ZIP and retry. The adjacent .zip.sha256 file verifies transfer integrity; a checksum is not a publisher signature. Development source modifications require rebuilding the candidate.

When something needs attention

Candidate boundaries

This candidate is verified on the development Windows host with sanitized PATH and bundled-only dependencies. Independent clean-machine certification, Linux/macOS runtime bundles and final publication/license approval are pending. The app is unsigned. No auto-updater, telemetry, account or cloud backend is included. No external executable plugins are loaded. See README.md, docs/STEP-7.md and THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.md for detailed scope and release evidence.
