Windows

Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. The installer adds Fire PDF to the Start menu and can open PDFs with a double-click.

45 seconds in the editor: change existing text, sign, download. More demos

Installing on Windows

  1. Open FirePDF-Setup.
  2. If Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”, click More info → Run anyway. The app isn’t code-signed yet, so Windows doesn’t recognise it.
  3. Choose where to install and finish. Your 7-day trial starts the first time you open it.

Installing on Mac

  1. Open the downloaded zip and drag Fire PDF to Applications.
  2. Open it. If macOS says it can’t be opened, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway. The app isn’t notarised by Apple yet.
  3. Alternatively, in Terminal: xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/Fire PDF.app"
What happens after the 7-day trial?

Purchase a lifetime license for US$39 plus tax through Dodo Payments. Your key is emailed automatically. Activate it in the latest app on up to 3 devices. Internet is required for activation and periodic checks, with up to 30 days of offline use between checks. The web editor includes 5 free Pro operations daily.

Do my files get uploaded?

No. Editing, OCR, redaction and password protection run on your computer. Only “Web page to PDF” uses the internet, because it has to fetch the page.

I have the older Windows app (version 14)

You can keep using it, or install this version alongside it. Version 15 has the new editor, redaction, password tools and the Mac app. The older build stays available here.

How do I check the download?

Each file’s SHA-256 checksum is listed in desktop.json.
